We offer an array of 8 different sizes from newborn through to extra
large Don't be daunted by this though! Your child won't need a bunch
of every size, in fact most babies spend the majority of their diapered
lives in 2 to 3 different sizes. All sizes overlap somewhat to cover
a broad range body types. Long and slim, short and wide, long and
wide, short and slim!! We've got something to fit your babe!
Both of our children fit diapers in radically different ways. Our
first was a 'healthy' babe who gained weight quickly and had true
thighs of thunder. He fit into a medium by about 3 months, stayed
in it until he was about 18 months, (slimming out all the while)
at which point he fit the medium long. It wasn't until the end of
his diapering career when he was around 30lb that he fit the larges
well.
Our daughter entered the world at an impressive 9+lb, but gained
slowly. 'til she was a little over a year. She is now at the end
of her diapering 'career' and is still just squeaking in to her
mediums but she is wider through the bum than our first and actually
fits the larges best even though she is only about 27lb.

A note about fit and choice of style:
Keep in mind that our front snapping diapers are designed to rest
below the belly button. Our sidesnapping style is cut a little higher
in the front but still falls just below the belly button.
Newborns and infants are best in the front snapping style, we've
found. The sidesnapping style was designed for our active toddler
and fits best on babies and toddlers wearing the medium and larger
sizes. I like this diaper for the times that our daughter is running
around without a cover on. I prefer the front snap for 'trimness'
though!
Further notes about the various sizes:
Newborn: I consider this to be a 'novelty' size really! It does
fit newborns quite nicely but to be honest, it doesn't fit for very
long as of course, they're quick to grow at this stage. It makes
a good 'gift' diaper though!
XS, SM, MD and LG fit pretty much as expected. Medium is naturally,
the size that seems to fit the longest and is certainly the most
requested.
Sm/med: This was designed for the daughter of a friend who had
a small, short baby (at the time!) She was too wide for the small,
but definitely too short for the medium. Unless you happen to have
a baby who is both short and very wide (heehee) your child will
skip this size.
Med/long: Kind of self explanatory! Again, designed for a friend's
baby with specific size needs: long and very lean. This is a commonly
requested size actually, as many children tend to thin out quite
dramatically once they're walking!
XL: This is designed for larger and older children.
